Batgirl — presentation-led collectible sculpt.
A DC-inspired fanart figure sculpted in ZBrush in 2020, built the way a collectible has to be — strong silhouette, costume that reads from any angle, and a pose active enough to be interesting but stable enough to stand. It went into the CG Society Hall of Fame that year. Made while I was training at Vertex School.

Pose and costume
Cowl, cape and armour all had to resolve at collector scale, from the front and from every angle in between. A collectible gets picked up and turned around, which is a harder test than a hero render — there is no bad side to hide.
Render treatments
Eight views: hero, ZBrush clay, Octane, and the final presentation renders. Different lighting and different renderers, which is a useful way to find out whether a sculpt really holds or whether one lighting setup was quietly carrying it.
Award and training context
The piece went into the CG Society Hall of Fame in 2020. I sculpted it while training at Vertex School and running commercial work at the same time, which is usually when my personal pieces come out best.
