Blossom Pegasus — a Bayala production sculpt.

This is the Bayala piece people remember: a winged horse carrying flower and crystal detail across the wings and mane. Ornament that delicate argues with everything injection moulding wants, and resolving that argument is the job. Part of my decade with Schleich.

Ten years with Schleich

Bayala is my longest-running commercial relationship. I work from 2D designs by Schleich's in-house team, and every sculpt has to clear the same bar: true to the design, correctly proportioned for five to twelve year olds, structurally sound, and detailed so it still reads at 6–10 cm.

Where ornament meets the mould

Thin wing membrane, petals, crystal facets — all of it had to keep its delicacy while losing every undercut that would complicate mould release. That is the trade on each Bayala figure, and getting it wrong shows up much later and much more expensively.

Clay renders and the gold variant

The gallery has the hero renders, the gold variant, wing detail passes, and clay progression from blocking to the final pre-production model. The clay is where you can judge the form, before colour makes everything look finished.
