Clair — likeness and presentation study.

A ZBrush likeness study from 2015 — standard turnaround views alongside a stylised butterfly-crown presentation render. I included both colour and monochrome versions plus a full turnaround sheet.

01

Why turnarounds matter

The turnaround sheet is the format a studio uses before approving a likeness for further work. Multiple angles expose anatomy a single hero render hides — and they tell you whether the sculpt is structurally sound or only convincing from one camera.

02

Likeness plus art direction

The butterfly crown pushes the piece from strict study toward editorial presence. I wanted both: accurate underlying anatomy and a presentation treatment that gives the portrait a mood of its own.

03

Colour versus monochrome

Monochrome strips material distraction and shows form directly. The colour render shows how I intended the full presentation to read once surface treatment is applied.
