Femaya — production toy sculpt for the Bayala line.
Bayala Femaya is an elf figure sculpted for Schleich's production toy line in 2016 — part of a multi-year Bayala collaboration covering elf figures, mermaids, and pegasus companions. The gallery includes clay renders, final presentation views, orchid-themed styling, and a dark studio render across six views.
Schleich and the Bayala production line
Schleich GmbH's Bayala fantasy range ran across multiple years with Anna Schmelzer contributing elf figures, mermaids, and creature companions. Each figure was delivered as a production-ready sculpt for injection moulding — stylised enough for the toy line's visual language, solid enough for manufacturing tolerances.
Stylised form and silhouette language
The Bayala line requires a specific softness — readable silhouette, gentle proportions, and a character clarity that works for both child and collector audiences. Femaya balances delicacy with the structural decisions a physical toy needs to survive production and retail handling.
Clay render and presentation views
Six views document the full production delivery: clay render showing raw form, final presentation with material and colour, orchid-themed styling, and a dark studio version for collector appeal. The clay render makes primary form decisions visible without surface treatment.
