Specialty Girl — miniature sculpt for scale-sensitive production.
A scale miniature sculpted for Hangar 18 Miniatures in 2014, prepared for resin casting using Modo and ZBrush for form refinement and 3D-print preparation. The gallery includes two studio renders alongside front and side views of the print-ready mesh.
Scale and production constraints
Miniature work requires different form decisions than portfolio-scale sculpture — details that read clearly at small scale, silhouette that holds when the figure is handled, and geometry that releases cleanly from a resin mould. Every surface choice has a direct consequence in production.
Modo and ZBrush workflow
Form refinement was split between Modo and ZBrush, using each tool's strengths for mesh work and organic surface detail respectively. Front and side views of the 3D-print-ready mesh are included alongside the final studio renders.
Hangar 18 Miniatures
Hangar 18 Miniatures produces high-quality resin figures for collector and tabletop audiences. Specialty Girl was delivered as a production-ready sculpt within that context, meeting the casting and scale requirements of their production pipeline.
